Paradise Park, accessible from Lakeview Drive, New Egypt (Plumsted
Twp.), New Jersey is a newly-created bird sanctuary and passive park
that borders along Oakford Lake, a wide and quiet section of the upper
Maintenance of the park includes the seasonal purchase and
replenishment of bird seeds of several types to suport the diverse
aviary community that calls this part of the Crosswicks Watershed home.
The Crosswicks-Doctors Creek Watershed Association is helping aid the
maintenance activity in Paradise Park. It has donated funding
that was used for the recent Winter seed purchases. Since this is
an on-going need, it has partnered with the local NJ non-profit
organization called NEST! whose logo appears below.
