KDC Solar / Great Adventure

JACKSON, NJ - After a two-plus year legal challenge between Defendants [KDC Solar / Great Adventure] and Plaintiffs [Clean Water Action, Crosswicks-Doctors Creek Watershed Association, Environment NJ, New Jersey Conservation Foundation, Save Barnegat Bay, and Sierra Club - NJ Chapter], there are still negotiations going on to firm-up the limitation of how much of the Collier's Mills Wildlife Area will be spared from the chainsaw for Great Adventure's solar electric power generation project.  Since this is still being worked out, nothing much more can be said at this time.  The project would have some negative affects at the edge of the CDCW as well as inland on the Great Adventure property.

CHESTERFIELD, NJ - The New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) proposed "Southern Reliability Link", planned to basically traverse the CDCW on its way to Manchester in Ocean County is in litigation by The Pinelands Preservation Alliance and the Sierra Club - NJ Chapter.  Until any court finds in favor of the Defendant, there can be no action taken to construct the pipeline. Go here to find out more about this unnecessary and potentially damaging infrastrcture that seeks to pump 180,000 dekatherms per day's worth of natural gas through a section of the state that stands to get no benefit but would suffer all the hardships attendant with such construction.  There are nearly 100 stream crossings on the route!
